Carlos Pires Oliveira Dias is the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Camargo Correa S.A. , one of the largest Brazilian companies. Camargo Corrêa is a private group founded in 1939 as an Engineering & Construction services company.


Nowadays, Camargo Corrêa has a diversified portfolio, deeply related to the infrastructure value chain. This portfolio includes fully owned businesses:
-  Construções e Comércio Camargo Corrêa, the second largest Engineering & Construction company in Brazil,
- Intercement, the third largest cement producer in South America,
and controlling shareholdings of highly regarded companies in their segments:

- CCR, the third largest toll road operator in the world
- CPFL,the largest private Brazilian electricity company
- Usiminas, the largest flat steel producer in Latin America
- Alpargatas, the largest footwear company in Latin America – producer of Havaianas flip flops,
- CCDI, a Real Estate developer of housing (low income and mid/high segments) and triple A commercial projects
- Estaleiro Atlântico Sul, the largest and most modern shipbuilding facility in the south hemisphere.
Camargo Corrêa group reached a consolidated Net Revenue of USD 10.2 billion and Ebitda of USD 1.8 billion in 2010.

Mr. Dias has been the vice-chairman of Camargo Corrêa S.A. (CCSA) since 2003, and has served as a member of the board of directors of CCSA since 1977.

In addition, Mr. Dias currently serves as the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of two Camargo Correa’s businesses: VBC (holding company that has 45% of the controlling block of CPFL) and CCDI. 

From 1975 to 1989, he held executive positions at Camargo Corrêa’s Engineering & Construction business .

Since 2005, Mr. Dias is also the Chairman of the drugstore retail chain Drogasil, the fourth largest chain of drugstores in Brazil and second largest in the state of Sao Paulo.  He has been a member of the board since 1994. 

Mr. Dias holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Mackenzie University, in São Paulo - Brazil.
