Mr. Pryor has over 35 years in the Financial Services Industry, as a Senior Executive, Institutional Sales, Investment Banker, Trader/Market Maker of Futures and Options, Investor and Board Member. He began his career with Goldman Sachs & Co., as a Fixed Income Salesman. Currently he serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Southern Africa Enterprise Development Fund (SAEDF). Prior to his assignment with the Enterprise Fund, Mr. Pryor was Vice Chairman of Wellspring Bio Capital, LLC which created vertical portfolios of companies that were organized by specific therapies. The Unit Trusts were the basis for Electronically Traded Funds (ETFs) that were listed on the New York Stock Exchange. He was Chief Executive of Pryor, Counts & Co., Inc. An Investment Banking firm that financed Infrastructure projects for Municipalities, underwrote equity and debt securities, advised on Merger and acquisitions. The Firm customers also included US Government Agencies, Multilateral Institutions.


Mr. Pryor was the founding shareholder and Board Member of CalBank, Accra Ghana, Securities Discount Company and the Ghana Home Loan Company also in Accra Ghana. He was a founding shareholder of National Merchant Bank of East Africa, Kampala, Uganda. He was also a founding shareholder of the United Bank of Philadelphia. He was a founding shareholder of the Corporate Council on Africa, Washington, DC. He has been a Member of the New York Coffee and Cocoa Exchange, The Philadelphia Stock and Options Exchange and a founding member of Philadelphia Board of Trade. He was also a shareholder in a member firm of the Chicago Board of Trade. Mr. Pryor has served on the Board of Directors of PepBoys, a NYSE listed Company as a Member of the Audit and the Compensation Committees, The Fox Chase Cancer Center, and a Member of the Investment Committee, The Philadelphia Orchestra, The Wachovia Regional Foundation and Chairman of the Fund for Philadelphia. Currently he is a Board Member of Calbank, Elgin Manufacturing, Gryphon Insurance, Hodi Hotel LTD, Chairman of Enterprise Fedha Finance Company (EFFCO) AND Chimba Resources. Mr. Pryor received a BA Degree in Marketing and Economics form Howard University, a Masters in Business Administration in Finance from The University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School. He has been a featured speaker on Private Equity matters, Project Finance, Derivative trading, Entrepreneurship and Investing in Africa.
