Alex Braunstein is a research scientist and search quality lead at www.chomp.com, an app search enginein SF. As a statistician he possesses a wide array of experience; he has consulted for startups and Fortune 500 companies, worked as a quant, led the human evaluation efforts for Google's social initiatives (Social Search, +1, etc.), and is an active blogger. In addition, Alex has been published in Computer Science, Statistics, Privacy, and Biology journals. Alex earned his Ph. D. and M.A. in Statistics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 2009 at the age of 25; he received his B.A. in Applied Mathematics from Swarthmore College.
